Patricia MurrayPatricia Murray – President and CEO, Ideal-ID, LLC

Pat Murray is the President and Founder of Ideal-ID, LLC a woman owned, service-disabled veteran small business.  She brings to this role extensive management and leadership expertise from a long career at Northrop Grumman, TRW and BDM.  Prior to this role Murray served as the Director of Operations for Northrop Grumman’s Technical Services sector. In this position, she had leadership responsibility for the $1.5B Advanced Defense Services Division operational excellence processes and procedures.  She also served as the Business Development Director for the $1B Mission Readiness Division where she had executive leadership responsibility for all of the division’s business development and capture processes.

Murray has more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience in both federal/civil, commercial and defense services. She has a strong foundation in business development, strategic planning, program management and international business operations.  Murray has used her diverse leadership experience and business acumen to win over $1B in new business awards, develop and implement long range strategic plans for multiple $1B+ organizations, successfully lead lines of business >$100M in annual sales, and lead the integration of multiple business during corporate reorganizations.

Prior to her most recent roles, she was director of the Advanced Warfighting Business Unit and Director of an Operating Unit.  In these positions, Murray led teams of thousands of employees, across the United States, with multiple different customs and programs focused on Intelligence, Information Technology, Training and System Development programs.

Murray spent over a decade with Northrop Grumman working in defense, federal/civil, state and local and intelligence industries. She began her NG career as a systems engineer, then moved into program management, business development, operations and continued to be promoted between program and functional staff roles throughout her career.  She’s worked on Ground Systems, Aviation Systems, Intelligence Systems, Enterprise IT Systems and in multiple engineering disciplines.  Murray earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree from George Mason University.  She serves on the Board of Directors of Linden Resources a non-profit committed to providing meaningful employment and development opportunities to people with disabilities and wounded veterans.

John Christensen – Chief Operating Officer, Ideal-ID, LLC

John Christensen is the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Ideal-ID, LLC a woman owned, service-disabled veteran small business. Ideal-ID is focused upon applying Identity Technologies to solve National Security problems. John is a subject matter expert in Biometrics and Identity Management systems with 30 years of systems development experience. His background spans from the development of systems for Cyber Security to the use of biometrics technology to assure identity and to meet operational missions. His experience includes insights into using biometrics within the US Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and other government entities.

Prior to co-founding Ideal-ID, John ran his own company and led efforts at several small and large systems integrators in a variety of technical and business development roles. He has served as a focal point for organizing and leading efforts in biometric and identity management through strategic business planning, market assessments, strategic plans, and research and development efforts. At Northrop Grumman John was a technical liaison with customers to understand their missions, operations, and technology gaps and to propose solutions focused upon Biometrics and Identity Operations. At SAIC John led their Biometrics Campaign and Community of Practice consisting of business developers and technical experts from across the company. At Lockheed Martin John was a founding member of their cross company Biometrics Integrated Product Team. At Evergreen Internet, Novell and WordPerfect, John developed commercial software for electronic commerce, e-mail messaging, directory services, and distributed network services.

A Software / Systems Engineer by training, John has performed gap analysis, evaluated COTS biometric products, and the made recommendations about the underlying technology. He has been the principal investigator on numerous Internal Research And Development (IRAD) efforts. John has matured skills to transition operational needs from concepts into requirements, technical approaches, prototypes, and fielded solutions for satisfied customers.

John is currently the chairman of the National Defense Industrial Association’s Biometrics Enabled Identity Division and is a frequent speaker and participant at industry conferences and symposia.
